Existing types of green communities, and some valuable community initiatives (sustainable transportation, community group buying, community gardens, etc).
Communities with green approaches have leading role in enforcement and legitimacy of climate conscious behaviour, besides it, they have the potential to demonstrate and disseminate the relevant best practises in climate mitigation and adaptation. The most common, best-known of communities are the
- Buying/shopping communities: community based shopping, directly to famers and producers.
- Community workshops. e.g.: repair/up-cycling community projects.
- Gardening communities (community gardens)
- Community farms
